DR. BRIAN O DOHERTY

M.R.C.P.I., M.R.C.G.P., D.C.H., Obst. - Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr. Brian graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in 1982 with an honour’s degree.  He is also affiliated with Irish Society of Occupations Medicine and the Society of Sports and Exercise Medicine.

​

Having worked in Edinburgh and Brisbane, he returned to work in the Family Practice in 1987.  His special interests include Minor Surgery and Clinical Trials.

DR. MARIA MURPHY

M.R.C.G.P, D.C.H., Obst., D.F.P. - University College Dublin

Dr. Maria graduated from University College Dublin in 1982 with an honour’s degree. As well as having worked in several hospitals in Ireland, she has worked as a GP in both the UK and Australia. After returning to Ireland, she joined the Practice in Gorey in 1989. Dr. Maria was a GP Trainer.

 

Dr. Maria’s special interest include Women’s Health.

DR. DARRAGH O DOHERTY

Dr. Darragh graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in 1988, after which he completed a two-year medical post in Beaumont Hospital receiving his medical membership in 1991. He then went on to complete his Diploma in Obstetrics in the Rotunda Hospital before doing his DCH in Temple Street Children’s Hospital. 

 

Dr. Darragh has a keen interest in medical ophthalmology (eyecare) and worked in The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital for two years where he received a Diploma in Ophthalmology.

 

Before returning to work in the family practice in 1994, he spent a year in Edinburgh doing his vocational training in General Practice where he qualified with his M.R.C.G.P.  As well as working as a GP, he also runs an Ophthalmology Clinic – eyes being his special interest.

 

Dr. Darragh Is a member of the Board of St. Aidan’s Daycare Centre and a past chairman of Gorey Development Group.

Dr Sandra Clare

Dr. Sandra graduated from University College Dublin in 1996 and the went on to complete her GP training in the University of Liverpool. Upon completing her training and working in practice in the UK, she returned to Ireland in 2002 and joined Gorey Medical Centre.

Dr. Sandra provides a full range of GP services with special interests in women's, children's and sexual health.

Dr. Yasmin O’Loughlin

Dr. Yasmin graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in 1989. She worked in the Surgical Department of James Connolly Memorial Hospital for 3 years before moving to the Paediatric and Medical Departments in Wexford General Hospital.

 

When she moved to Gorey, she worked for the late Dr Colin Mitchell for 11 years before joining Gorey Medical Centre in 2005. After joining Gorey Medical Centre, she completed her general practice training with Irish College of General Practitioners.

 

Her special interests include Paediatrics, minor surgery and women’s health.

Dr Cian O'Doherty

Dr. Cian O'Doherty is a dedicated General Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2003 and holds postgraduate diplomas in Clinical Psychiatry, Children’s Health, and Orthopaedic Medicine. He has worked in hospitals across Ireland, as well as gaining valuable international experience in Australia and Zambia, before settling into practice at Gorey Medical Centre in 2007.


 

Dr. O'Doherty has a special interest in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal medicine, following a family tradition that spans three generations. He completed a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Medicine at UCD, the Cyriax Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine, and is affiliated with the Irish Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. He is also trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy. He is passionate about integrating evidence-based approaches to support holistic patient wellbeing.

 

Outside of medicine, Dr. O'Doherty enjoys exercising in nature and spending time with his family.

DR. NIAMH O’DOHERTY

Dr. Niamh graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in 2006 with an honours degree and then went to work in emergency medicine in Australia. She then went on to complete her GP Specialist Training with the Mid Leinster UCD GP training scheme based in Dublin in 2011, after which she spent some months volunteering in Zambia.

 

Dr. Niamh returned to join the family practice in 2014.  Her special interests include Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Pediatrics.

Dr Gareth Brady

BSc (Microbiology), M.B.B.S, M.I.C.G.P, DCH - University College Dublin

Following the completion of a Microbiology degree in UCD, Dr. Gareth worked in Genetics Research in Ireland and USA. He then moved to England and graduated with an honours degree from Norwich Medical School in 2009 before completing 3 years of post-graduate medical training in London hospitals. After spending a year working in rural Malawi, Dr. Gareth returned to Ireland to complete the TCD/HSE Specialist Training Programme in General Practice.

Dr. Gareth joined Gorey Medical Centre in 2017. As well as providing a full range of GP services, he has a special interest in Men's Health, Type 2 Diabetes and Sexual Health.

Dr. John grew up in Gorey and went to Gorey Community School. He then went on to Graduate from UCD.  He completed GP Training in the Southeast GP Training Scheme in 2015.

He has been practicing as a Full-Time GP since 2015.  

 

He has an interest in Musculo-Skeletal Medicine, Dermatology and Medical Education.

Dr. Kilian Buckley

M.D., MICGP - Irish College of General Practitioners

Dr. Kilian has diverse experience in both general practice and hospital medicine. He trained at Charles University in Prague and completed his specialist GP training with the Irish College of General Practitioners, earning his MICGP in 2024. His clinical experience spans both general practice and hospital settings, with roles in paediatrics, emergency medicine, women’s health, and respiratory medicine. 

 

He has additional training in clinical dermatology (UCD), trauma care and sports medicine (UCD and IRFU). His clinical interests include men’s health, medical weight loss, preventative care and paediatrics.

 

Outside the clinic, Dr. Kilian is an accomplished traditional musician and active sportsman. His approach to care is practical, evidence based and focused on supporting long-term patient wellbeing.

DR. ISIDORA OROZ

MuDr, MICGP - Irish College of General Practitioners

Canadian-born and raised, Dr. Isidora (MD, MICGP) is a General Practitioner and graduate of the Irish College of General Practitioners (Class of 2024). She earned her medical degree from Charles University, Prague in 2019 and completed specialist GP training in Ireland through the ICGP.

 

Dr. Isidora has practiced widely across Ireland in both hospital and community settings, gaining experience in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, and General Medicine (including Endocrinology, Respiratory, and Geriatrics), as well as in General Practice. She also holds advanced qualifications in Women’s Health, including Cervical Check training and LARC certification, which encompasses Implanon and IUD insertions.

 

Dr. Isidora is trained in IRFU’s SAFE Rugby programme for pitch side emergency care and also holds certificates in expedition and wilderness medicine.

 

Her clinical interests span women’s health, joint injections, chronic disease management, and caring for athletes and patients in remote settings. Whether on the pitch, in the backcountry, or in clinic, Dr Isidora is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care grounded in diverse practical experience.
